| Richard Meyers is originally from Oceanside, New York, but since 1979, he has primarily been a resident of Florida.
EducationAfter receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Science Education from the University of Florida in 1985, Mr. Meyers became a science teacher in the Tampa area. In 1988, Mr. Meyers received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of South Florida.
From there, Mr. Meyers attended Emory University School of Law, and graduated in 1991. During law school, Mr. Meyers concentrated his course work in civil litigation, and participated in the Masters of Litigation Program.
A Tampa / Temple Terrace PracticeMr. Meyers has been practicing in the Tampa Bay area for more than 15 years. He is a member of the Florida Bar, and is licensed and authorized to practice in all state courts, and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. At various times, he has been an active member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, Clearwater Bar Association, and Manatee County Bar Association. Mr. Meyers has handled cases in the counties of Hillsborough, Pinellas, Polk, Manatee, Sarasota, Lee, Palm Beach and Orange.
Mr. Meyers' civic activities include or have included the Temple Terrace Kiwanis Club, Temple Terrace School Improvement Task Force, Hillsborough Education Foundation, Temple Terrace Chamber of Commerce, Men's Club of Congregation Beth Am.
Mr. Meyers has resided in Temple Terrace for 18 of the last 21 years. He is a single father with custody of four children.
